Your journey Services we offer

Why candidates trust IVR

Trust built on facts, not promises.

An official, regulated path

Your professional recognition follows German federal and state law. Approbation decisions are made by the state licensing authorities, and the language requirements (B2 German plus the C1 Fachsprachenprüfung) are clearly defined. We prepare you for exactly this route: nothing improvised, nothing informal.

Verifiable demand

Germany faces a documented, nationwide shortage of veterinarians: in pet, equine and farm practice, in rural regions and in cities alike. Your expertise is your greatest asset! Reputable employers invest in international candidates to help tackle the shortage of skilled workers in Germany and to establish long-term employment relationships.

A reputation built on personal trust and relationship

Rough Edges GmbH is a registered company located in the Düsseldorf region for more than 10 years. You are treated as an individual and not as a client. Your satisfaction is our reputation!

Honesty as policy

We never promise decisions that belong to German authorities, and we tell you early and plainly if your route will be difficult. Our aim is to help you find the right path through German bureaucracy: we highlight the problems and work with you to resolve them. Your documents and personal situation are handled confidentially under EU data protection law. Our aim is to consult, not to dictate to you — therefore you remain in control of your whole onboarding.

Relocation concierge

Moving a career means moving a life.

A new position affects far more than your employment contract. Our relocation approach considers the practical needs of the person behind the profession: housing, family, language, paperwork and the first months on the ground.

Discuss your move

The right employment is not simply where your qualifications are needed. It is where your career — and your life — can grow.

Questions

What international veterinarians usually ask.

Who can apply?

Qualified veterinary doctors and final-stage veterinary graduates from EU and non-EU countries may register. The precise recognition and immigration route depends on the country of qualification, citizenship, language level and intended role.

Do I need to speak German before applying?

You may begin the conversation before reaching the final required level. However, professional recognition and clinical work normally require defined German-language evidence. We help you plan the language path in parallel with the recruitment process.

Can you guarantee recognition or a visa?

No responsible provider can guarantee decisions made by German authorities. We can however help you prepare a complete, well-organised application and coordinate the process with qualified external specialists where required.

Do you also support my spouse or children?

Yes. Family circumstances are considered from the beginning. Depending on the package and destination, support may cover housing, schools, childcare and practical orientation for an accompanying partner.

Which kinds of employers are represented?

The network includes independent practices, larger clinics, veterinary hospitals, equine and farm-animal medicine throughout Germany.
